Meet Our Team

Jo Humphreys
Educator

I am a dedicated, motivated, positive mum and nana who especially enjoys working with young children.  I spent 6 years in my early career as a registered pediatric nurse then moved into the childcare space where I gained director qualifications and extensive knowledge in Early Childhood Education, both hands on and in management.  I have a passion for organising and tidying things and I love a label maker!

I am currently providing In Home Education and Care for a number of families.

I hold a current Blue Card, Police check. I am a member of Australian Nanny Association Inc and have liability insurance. I have an Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services, First Aid including Asthma and Anaphylaxis training and current CPR

I am also a registered BAS agent and a Commissioner for Declarations.

My goal is to provide a meaningful and fun play space for children and their grown ups where they can enjoy learning through play. Play is children’s work, and the first 1000 days of a child’s life is the optimum time for them to be engaged in a variety of thoughtful activities to promote learning.

Through play children learn to navigate the challenges, goals, failures and wonderful successes they will encounter throughout their lives. With the support of their adult and the nurture of other older adults, the children learn trust, security and love.

Our older adults delight in the company of young children and are able to share their vast knowledge and experience with the young children and their families and be acknowledged for their amazing contributions.

Margaret

I am a retired physiotherapist who specialised in geriatric rehabilitation both here and in England.

My interest in music has been a lifelong passion and I have been very actively involved with choirs, piano groups and accompanying and conducting for many years. I accompany my grandsons for their music exams.

Attending choral and instrumental performances is one if my most favourite things to do and I also enjoy walking each day and attending the gym several times each week.

I thoroughly enjoy spending time with the children, their carers and the older adults at playgroup in a casual and fun environment where we can all let our hair down a little and have fun.

Annie

I am a mum and a nurse with an absolute love of babies. I have a 3 year old daughter and another baby on the way.

I have worked as a neonatal intensive care nurse for 10 years, and I am currently lucky enough to be staying home with my daughter.

I adore children and the energy and joy they bring to everyday learning and play.  Being from America, all of my family is abroad, so it is a pleasure to get to interact with all ages in the intergenerational playgroup.

Kim

My name is Kim Feuerriegel (known as Miss Kim to many, and I’ve even been addressed as Nana Kim). I have four children and two beautiful granddaughters.

I have worked in Early Education and Care for over four decades and as a Director for both private and community-based services.

Twenty-two years of this time was as an Owner/ Director of a centre located within my family’s local suburb. In all my roles, I have been passionate around developing enriching relationships between the local communities and the centre, educators, children and families.

Intergenerational visits and activities were an important part of all our programs and invaluable for the young ones as well as the “young at heart”. These interactions are amongst my most joyful memories.

I look forward to meeting with you soon.
